I'm Vansh Patel, a software engineer based in Lexington, Kentucky. I currently work at The Nuclear Company as Software Engineer II, where I shipped Tabletop, an Electron app Constellation Energy uses for physical security posture and threat assessment at nuclear sites. I also build the floorplan, site-assessment, and Foundry tools around it.

I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2025 with a B.S. in Computer Science, a math minor, and a certificate in artificial intelligence. I made the Dean's List in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Fall 2024, and Spring 2025.

Before The Nuclear Company, I built AI research tools at UK's Center for Computational Sciences, including a transcription pipeline twice as fast as the one it replaced. Before that I was an AIM Fellowship Researcher at the Center of Applied Artificial Intelligence, predicting opioid overdose hotspots for RADOR-KY.

Mostly machine learning (forecasting, embeddings, reinforcement learning), web and desktop apps (Next.js, TypeScript, Electron), and iOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI. Recent projects include Big Talk (formerly SpeakUp), an iOS app for practicing speaking that runs on Apple's SpeechAnalyzer, and Tokenuinely, an MCP server that lets coding agents search large repositories by meaning.
